Calling on Pres. Arroyo!

2009 Agosto 27

Too many accidents, too many lives wasted. Property damaged. The property gone is all right, it can be recovered. But no one can bring back that other kind of loss. Look at the nation, mourning over the loss of the great Madam.

It is time, Mrs. President, to heed the call for an agency on safety in the transport sector. Actually, when we espoused it in the time of the late Madam Cory Aquino, it was supposed to even embrace under it the safety sub sector in the labor department. At least there were bright minds who pushed it into just the transport corner during the time of Pres. FVR.

There are other brighter minds too, Mrs. President. Imagine, our original proposal and advocacy was turned into the Transport Security office of DOTC!?! Whoooaaa!!! Who the bad assed earth crawling dimwit would that be?

Does it always have to be robbing the nation of its right to be safe in the streets just for making certain where one could earn a little skim here and there? Certainly no one knows how to make a skim in transport safety without getting killed early. Or maimed. Or his or her neck gutted like beef steak. But that is the risk of service, of love of country, of love for the people, for their welfare and morale.

Why limit the agency to mere security when the universal cry is for safety in the streets, in sea routes, and in the air lanes?

And so you are set to sign the enabling document now for that transport security agency shit. Stop all that nonsense and bull Madam President and focus on safety. Sec. Mendoza, stop that from happening. Give the transport security a different niche, or place it under a homeland security type of agency like NACTAG. But don’t throw the concept of transport safety to the dogs. You might as well declare a State of Transport Catastrophe, Cataclysm and Mass Endangerment. Or a National State of Transport Calamity. Declaration of National State of Transport Emergency. Proclamation of National Transport Martial State. And so forth and so on. And turn the DOTC over to the Department of National Defense’s Office of Civil Defense, secretariat to the National Disaster (Response) Coordinating Council. So that this useless government can start giving Transport Calamity Funds to the increasing number of victims day in and day out. And maybe, it can start doling out funds to everyone. We are all potential victims after all!!! F_kdamn!

Is it not possible that these road mishaps may just be a way to justify how probably they might kill you on the road? And no one will bother? It’s a daily occurrence, they’ll say. Good God!!!

Well, what other things else can’t we call shit in this country?

And even your very own allies whom you have forgotten are also saying it at that!!!
